1-1. Unit summary
There are many natural disasters in the world, however, we are very seldom prepared to evacuate from every type of disasters when we encounter these natural disasters. This unit deals with the story of natural disasters. In the text, A girl experienced Earthquake, but she and her family didn't know what to do. By studying this unit, students will be take an interest in natural disasters
In order to discuss the matter, students have to comprehend the text. therefore, students will learn to use expression such as ‘I’m curious that~‘, ’Make sure that~‘, also will learn past perfect sentences and conjunction.
1-2. Overall Aims
(1) Functions
Students are able to :
1) express curiosity.
: I’m curious about how that happened.
2) warn someone what have to do
: Make sure you don’t take the elevators in a real fire.
(2) Forms
Students are able to :
1) use past perfect tense
: One night in February, after I had gone to bed, an earthquake hit.
2) use conjunction
: Since it was my first time experiencing an earthquake, I didn’t know how to react.
