We suggested a theoretical ground by looking into the arrangement of the concept and
precedent studies of Food Museum through survey, and also suggested the necessity of family
leisure by studying family leisure culture. We examined the demand of Food Museum, checked
its current situations and measured the trial service and satisfaction of the experience program
of Food Museum. Food Museum which deals with food culture specially as one form of museum
is focused mainly on the collection, preservation and exposition of food culture compared with
other museum, so it stands still in the trifling level in the development and practice of diverse
programs. As the results of the research of the cases up to now, it was confirmed that they
were not satisfied with the reality of Food Museum but had some intention for diverse
expositions and programs. But in this research we intend to suggest for following active plans to
enhance the use of Food Museum. For the facilitation of Food Museum, the following
preconditions shall have to be prepared. First, the policy of Food Museum has to be more
established. We should develop the environment to experience food culture fitted for the region
with a systematic support in the national dimension, and enhance the awareness degree. Second,
we need to cultivate the special manpower about Food Museum. We have to devise the
activation of educational function of Food Museum through the creative culture perspectives.
