< Summary>
Following chapter one, the author demonstrates why language is an instinct in chapter 2 with many examples and tests. I would like to divide by the contents.
Firstly, the universality of complex language can be seen by
1) the first story of the natives in New Guinea and the expeditor which shows even one of the isolated highlanders has language.
2) So does the comparison between Kivunjo and English.
Secondly, linguistic abilities are underestimated inside our society.
For instance, 1) the division of the dialect of the mainstream and the dialect of other groups has nothing with grammatical sophistication.
2) In particular, American black language, namely, Black English Vernacular(BEV) is not only highly verbal but valued linguistic virtuous compared to Standard American English(SAE).
3) Labov`s tabulation shows ungrammatical sentences were more found in middle-class than working-class and the highest percentage was in academic conferences.
