Abstract
Performing arts service has been generally recognized as a non-for-profit sector that is difficult to operate without financial support from the government and corporations. With the competitive entertainment markets, there is growing concern about reduction of this allocation from the government thus it is important to strengthen generating profits in order for the performing arts service to continue on.
The article, “Exploring Repurchase Intention in a Performing Arts Context: Who Comes? And Why do They Come Back?” proposes effective service marketing strategies to cope with the economic constraints, in the management of performing arts, through the application of customer service marketing. This study especially focuses on consumer experiences in the cultural performing arts setting, to find factors which influence repurchase intention, as the key to the survival of arts organizations. Managers of performing arts organizations can use this information in order to develop customer segments and customize offers and delivery of the service experience.
