There are many differences between Neoclassicism and Romanticism such as nature, child, women, poet, imagination and so on. Here i focus on Nature.
Augustan poets think of "nature" as the universal, permanent and representative elements in human experience. Also, they assert that because Nature is so great that we have to imitate it. So, to study nature was also to study the ancients.(the great artists and thinkers of Greece and imperial Rome) because they had expressed the constant forms of life in Nature. One of the most great neoclassical Poets is Alexander pope. He amalgamates Nature throughout his Essay on Criticism in various lines to express neoclassicism. Nature is expressed by Pope as the best guide of judgment, in his Essay on Criticism, in this following stanza, "Part 1: First follow Nature and you judgment frame by her just standard, which is still the same; Unerring Nature, still divinely bright, one clear,
