Hello, Everyone. My name is -----. My subject is Idiom about person.
We will study three Idioms. First Idiom is ‘A Jack of all trades’, Second idiom is ‘Man or Girl Friday’. Third idiom is ‘The real McCoy’. And we will solve few questions. ok. Let’s start.
First Idiom is ‘A Jack of all trades’. This meaning is ‘A person who can do many different kinds of work, but perhaps does not do them very well’. Yes. This Idiom has Positive and Negative meaning both.
And this is a English proverb. ‘A Jack of all trades, and master of none’. In Korea. there is a same proverb. It is ‘열 두 가지 재주 있는 사람이 밥 굶는다.’ Understand? Ok.
This is example. ‘Louise can fix TVs, paint houses, and build shelves. She is a jack of all trades.’, ‘MacGyver is a jack of all trades.’
