Introduction
The light Verbs such as give, have, take, do have very little meaning and the major meaning of the predicate is located on the verbal Noun. Especially, the light verb give have the syntactic structure similar to the one of the heavy verb give but the semantic feature of the light verb give is different with one of the heavy verb. Also, the dative construction with preposition to is not proper in some sentences.

Cattell(1984) suggested three types of descendant noun depending on syntactic structure. Type A is the NP that allows both ‘give NP2 to NP1’ and ‘give NP1 NP2’. Type A includes description, explanation, illustration, imitation and so on. Type B is the NP that allows neither ‘give NP2 to NP1’ nor ‘give NP1 NP2’. Type B includes bark, chuckle, cough, cry, gasp and so on. Type C is the NP where the dative construction is not allowed such as kiss, hug cuddle and so on.
