4. Adjust the FREQUENCY knob in the MASTER CLOCK section of the Clock Generator to obtain a 64 KHz clock signal at OUTPUT B and a 32kHz clock signal for the Delta/CVSD Encoder
5. Adjust the cutoff frequency of the lowpass filter to 800Hz. Pull the Lowpass Audio Filter's GAIN knob to the VAR position and adjust the filter's gain to obtain a 0.4Vp-p sine wave on Channel 1 of the oscilloscope.
6. Adjust the SLOPE setting of the Delta / CVSD Encoder to obtain an oscilloscope display resembling Figure 5-34(a)
7. While observing the oscilloscope display, steepen the slope of the message signal by slowly increasing the GAIN of the Lowpass Audio Filter located beside the Synchronous Audio Generator until the amplitude of the message signal reaches 2 Vp-p. The oscilloscope display should resemble Figure 5-34(b).
8. Disconnect the cable attached to OUTPUT 1 of the Clock Generator and reconnect it to the BNC-T-connector on OUTPUT 3. This sets the CLOCK INPUT signal to 8 kHz. Adjust the SLOPE setting until the oscilloscope display resembles Figure 5-35(a).
