1. Text
1-1. Theory
We made Combinational Logic circuit in this experiment. Combinational Logic is Logic circuit that form is combined without memory. We made 7-segment LED and ALU by verilog and It was implemented by FPGA.
In 7-segment LED, decoder is used. Simply, Decoder is machine that make output value which is selected by user according to input value. Opposite to decoder, Encoder do compression. Viz, the number of bits is decreased when signal go through encoder. We made 7-segment LED, The number 8 can be expressed using seven LEDs. If we control these LEDs, we can express hexadecimal number.
In ALU, 7-segment, logic operation and arithmetic operation is used. 7-segment is mentioned above. And, logic operation and arithmetic operation is implemented very easily by coding. We also learned this logic in several computer coding class. We use 7-segment LED. By using coding verilog, Addition, subtraction, AND, XOR was expressed. Next, insert these input value to 7-segment machine. Then, ALU is implemented.
