1. Company Introduction
Luckin Coffee Inc. (LK) China’s second-largest coffee network in terms of the number of stores and cups of coffee sold. It opened its first store in Beijing in October 2017. By digitalizing the entire process of its coffee brand operation, Luckin expanded into 2,370 fully-owned stores. The company has launched with a high-growth strategy to grab shares of China's booming coffee retail market, and to outnumber Starbucks' stores in the 1st and 2nd tier cities in by the end of 2019.
In July 11th, 2018 Luckin Coffee announced the completion of Series-A financing, total US$20 million. Singapore government investment company (GIC) is on the investment company list. In December 2018, Luckin raised new investor funding in the amount of US$200 million in this month. In May 16th, 2019, Luckin Coffee started trading on the NASDAQ at $17 a share.
