A. What are the advantages and disadvantages of liquid phase synthesis compared to gas, and solid phase approach?
Nano particle은 bulk-size와 molecule-size의 중간 크기를 가지고 있으므로, atoms or molucules를 chemical reaction으로 clustering하여 만드는 bottom-up process와 bulk를 grinding or etching으로 nano size로 만드는 top-down process로 만들 수 있다.
Solid phase synthesis는 high energy shaker, planetary ball or tumbler mills로 물리적인 방법으로 nano particle을 만드는 방법이다. Solid phase synthesis로 만들어지는 nano particle의 성질은 milling하는 물질의 rotational or vibrational speed, mills의 size와 수, milling time, milling atmosphere 등에 의해 결정된다.
