The early stages of depressive disorder are like a common cold. On the other hand, the last stage of the disease is called the sickness unto suicide. According to the Health and Welfare Ministry (2014), mental illness accounts for 38% of the causes of attempt suicide, most of which are mood disorder including depression (cited in Kim, 2015). Moreover, Korea's suicide rate has been ranked NO.1 in the OECD for 11 years (OECD, 2016). However, the rate of trying out for therapy is the lowest level in the OECD (OECD, 2017).
