본문내용
1. Brief rev of SoC, ARM processor, PL/PS
The SoC is an integrated circuit that embodies programmable embedded processors and various modems, multimedia functional blocks, embedded one-chip memory, digital and analog IP functional blocks, and embedded software including drivers. The SoC has the advantages of minimizing the area of the system, reducing the price, and aiming for the speed at which the system operates. As the number of components is reduced, the reliability can be improved by minimizing the connection error between the
components.
ARM processors are RISC command-based 32-bit processors as ARM holdings. A register, an ALU, a command analyzer, a controller and a data path for internal information exchange are included. The RISC command structure is simplified, so it has the advantage of faster processing speed and less heat generation.
The Zynq Chip we use is an SoC consisting of PL and PS regions. A PL area
constitutes a block of hardware made of a function.
