1. genetics 정의
- To study the flow of genetic information(dna->rna-
>protein) at the molecular level
2. aim of the module
- Science is to find out hidden aspects.
- To understand living system with a reasonable story.
3. genome, gene, chromosome 정의 차이
- cell -> nucleus -> chromosome -> dna -> gene
- genome : The complete DNA complement of an organism
- gene : Molecular unit of heredity ; dna that codes for
protein
- chromosome : 뭉쳐진 dna, 염색된 형태
3-1. chromosome 이름 역사
- dna 가 뭉쳐져있는 것을 염색하여 관찰한 이후로 명명됨.
4. properties of the genetic material(dna)
- contains information
- can be replicated and transmitted
- controls cellular processes and thus determines
phenotypes
- can be source of new variation
5. dna is the molecule of heredity
- Inherited tratits are determined by the elements of
heredity genes that are transmitted from parents to
offspring in reproduction.
