The lack of health promotion programs in small businesses is particularly problematic because these firms employ most American workers. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, small firms (those employing 2-500 employees) represented 99% of all employers in the U.S. in 1995 (USSBA, 1998).
이 회사가 대부분의 미국 근로자를 고용하기 때문에 중소기업의 건강 증진 프로그램의 부족은 특히 의심스럽다. 미국에 따르면 중소기업청, 작은 회사(2명에서 500명의 고용인들을 고용한 그들은) 1995(USSBA, 1998)년에 미국에서 모든 고용자 99%를 대표했다.
