본문내용
Bodo, a Frankish Peasant
The early empire of Charlemagne in the late 8th to early 9th centuries is represented by Bodo that the whole family had to work hard to meet the quota of the steward of the seignorial land of the Abbey of St Germain that Bodo happened to live on.

Marco Polo, the famous Venetian merchant
In this chapter, especially, cities other than Venice also appear, especially the description of China was impressive. The description was diverse and very detailed, so the scenery was drawn in my head. I think Power here provides imagination interest, diversity, and a balanced perspective, not just describing European cities but also cities in the East or other countries.
