본문내용
Improvements in medicine and surgery during the last two centuries have greatly extended the average lifetime of people and reduced the pain and disability following various injuries and diseases. Because medicine and surgery have a strong basis in scientific knowledge, it is absolutely necessary for medical progress that there be experiments on humans. There can be no doubt that human experimentation is necessary and desirable. Unfortunately the demand for information and understanding about various diseases has leaded the scientific community into practicing questionable ethics.
During World War II, the Nazis in Germany performed many medical experiments on civilians and those they considered "undesirable"
While many know of the atrocities committed by the Germans during World War II, few know of the atrocities committed by the Japanese, who experimented on Chinese civilians and Prisoners of war.
