Students of the 21st century are growing under a uniform curriculum in public education (schooleducation) which doesn’t consider students’ own personality and thinking level.
Like as mass producing the goods from the factory in the industrial society in the past, the uniform
education cause many problems, since that ignores human individuality or uniqueness.
The uniform public education causes many problems such as bullying, suicide, runaway, so in order to
resolve these problems, new education, as an alternative to the alternative school, is emerging.
In this paper, I would like to identify the status of the alternative elementary, secondary school which
is emerging to overcome the institutional, social problems of public education, and reveal the necessity of
dance education in alternative school by analyzing the status of dance education.
Chapter 2 identifies issues of school education and reveals the true meaning of education through the
concept of the alternative education which can resolve the issues.
Chapter 3 identifies the characteristics of each school and the characteristics of the process of the
education by identifying the current status of the alternative school and analyzing types of the school,
Chapter 4 deals the necessity of the dance education in the alternative school by analysis of the status of
dance education in the school.
Chapter 5, the last chapter, suggests the issues and challenges which should be resolved to settle down
the dance education in the alternative school and provides solution of the issues and challenges and reveals
the necessity of dance education.
