1. Text
1-1. Theory
VGA(Video Graphics Array) is used in computer. It has 17 display modes, 256 colors by combination of RGB and represent 640480 of resolution. The principle of VGA's concept is as follows. First, hard disk's data is loaded into the RAM. Second, informations are calculated in CPU. Third, CPU send these information to graphic card. The last, VGA display these information to screen by combination of RGB.
[Figure. 1] shows the concept of this VGA. It consist of 15 pins. 1pin-RED, 2pin-GREEN, 3pin-BLUE, 13pin-Hsync, 14pin-Vsync, etc. VGA does digital process and DAC process. We can see the analog signals by these process. To understand VGA, knowing about VGA sync signal is very important.
VGA has two synchronization signals. There are Hsync signal and Vsync signal. [Figure. 2] shows the concept of this VGA Sync signal. HSync is for horizontal synchronization of VGA. And Vsync is for vertical synchronization of VGA.
