정보화 사회의 도래는 교육의 내용과 방법의 변화를 필연적으로 요구한다. 이러한 변화에 부응할 수 있는 방법 중 하나가 컴퓨터와 통신 기술의 발달로 등장한 인터넷을 교육적으로 활용하는 방법이며, 인터넷의 여러 서비스 중 웹을 주로 사용하는 WBI(Web Based Instruction: 웹활용 교육)는 이러한 목적의 활용을 주도하고 있다.웹의 장점을 이용한 교수- 학습 자료 개발을 위하여 고등학교 공통과학과 생물 교과의 환경오염 단원 학습내용을 분석하고, 웹활용 교육 모델과 수업설계 원리에 따라 환경오염 WBI자료를 설계·개발하였다. 그리고 개발된 자료를 MALSM (Multimedia Assisted Learning SysteM)의 WBI 평가기준을 토대로 재구성한 설문지로 수업설계 측면과 기술적 측면에 대하여 고등학생들을 대상으로 조사한 결과 환경오염 WBI자료의 수업설계적인 측면(학습목표, 학습내용, 수업전략, 학습자)가 기술적 측면(화면구성, 이용의 편이성, 학습자료)에 대해 긍정적으로 평가하였으며, 웹을 활용한 새로운 학습방법에 대해서 높은 흥미와 관심을 나타내었다.그러나 효과적인 웹활용 교육이 이루어지기 위해서는 인터넷 기반 시설의 확충과 WBI 자료개발을 위한 행정적 기술적 측면의 지원이 이루어져야 하고, WBI 자료제작기법에 대한 교원 연수와 인센티브제도가 마련되어야 한다. 또한 교과관련 국내 사이트의 구축 및 교수전략방안에 대한 연구가 이어져야 한다.

영어 초록

For the change of educational environment by information- intensive society, Korean educational circle need to convert paradigm from teacher- centered to learner- centered.One way to fulfill the need is the teaching- learning model which uses WBI in the class.Through developing materials for WBI and using them into education, learning environment using merits of WBI is consisted continually. But the education using WBI is on the experimental level, an early stage. So it is difficult to search out Korea, because there isn't yet the clear model of developing WBI materials.The study is to analyze the learning contents of environment pollution units in a common science and biology of high school subjects from the view points of designing class and technical class, to design and develop WBI materials about environment pollution by an principle of designing instruction, and to apply WBI materials developed about environment pollution to high school students and then verify the propriety.The sub studies for this study are the definition of WBI, educational function of WBI, principles of evaluation of WBI, principles of designing teaching- learning, structuralism and hypermedia, and designing WBI and analyzing evaluative criterion. And the process of developing cons is ted of designing learning contents about environment pollution by educational model using WBI and the principle of designing instruction and was developed by HTML.The designing instruction was based on four levels : planning, designing, developing, and application of evaluation. I let learners participate into a process of learning through giving learners their right to control about learning on the base of hypermedia. Also, I applied WBI materials about environment pollution into each school and verified the propriety. I got the positive results about them at the view point of des igning ins truction and technical view.There are two suggestions to spread out educational system using WBI. First, there are set the situation which teachers of all subjects easily make WBI materials related to their instruction. Second, teachers teach their students with using WBI merits of teaching- learning materials developed by their creative passion. For this, correspondence environment, such as more supply of computers and main lines for internet, have to be pervaded in schools.Also, when a teacher uses WBI materials in the class, the teacher can concretely givehis students learning work and let them give in their works. It is difficult to attain learning effect through only conveying information in such education programs. Teachers add to visual effects using animation, java- applet and java- script, and element of mutual conversation with learners. And teachers mus t design and develop education programs to give students their interes ts about it.
