한국어 초록

한국 교회는 제자훈련을 통한 교회를 깨우는 영향력은 매우 크다고 할 수
있다. 선교단체 등에서만 성경공부와 양육체계를 개 교회에서 받아들여 성도
를 훈련시키므로 잠자는 거인들인 평신도를 깨워 주의 사역에 참여케 한 것은
커다란 축복이라고 말할 수 있다.
제자훈련을 목회 철학으로 접목하여 성장을 이룬 교회들이 나타나기 시작
하였다. 제자훈련을 실시하기 위해서는 올바른 개념 정립과 제자훈련에 대한
올바른 신학적 이해가 필요하기에 이 연구를 통해서 평신도를 깨우는 제자훈
련의 중요성을 살펴보고자 한다.
제자훈련이 왜 필요한가? 그것은 예수님께서 친히 제자를 삼아 양육과 훈
련을 통해서 모범을 보이셨고 부활 승천하시면서 마지막 지상명령으로 제자
들에게유언과같이명령을하셨다. 마태복음28:19-20“ 그러므로너희는가
서 모든 민족으로 제자를 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주고
내가 너희에게 분분한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝
날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라”
이 명령은 해도 되고 하지 않아도 되는 선택의 여지가 우리에게 없고 주님
을 믿고 따르는 자라면 무조건적으로 따라야 한다. 또한 주님은 목회의 방법
으로 가장 중요한 것을 목회자들에게 잘 가르쳐 주고 계신다. 그것은 제자가
되고 제자를 삼으라는 것이다.
예수님께서는 제자들의 미성숙함에도 불구하고 승천하시기 전에“아버지
께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라(요20:21절)고 선언하시며 파
송을 하셨다. 사도들은 오순절 이후 예수님에게서 훈련받은 본을 따라 자신을
삶을 바쳐 제자훈련의 임무를 수행하였다.(행2:4-47) 베드로가 그러했고 사
도바울도 디모데에게 네게 들은 바를 충성된 사람에게 부탁하라 그러면 또 다
른 사람들을 가르칠 수 있을 것이라고 말했다.
또한 엡4:11-12이하에서 바울은 목회자가 무슨 일을 하도록 부름을 받았는
가에 대한 본질적인 문제에 대해서 언급하고 있는데, 그 일은‘성도를 온전케’
하는 사명이다. 여기서 사용된‘온전케’라는 단어는 영어에서‘무장하다’
(Equip)라는 뜻이며, 전쟁에 나갈 군사에게 모든 장비를 갖추게 하고, 필요한
모든 기술을 훈련시킨다는 의미이다.
교회와 목회자의 가장 우선적인 사명은 무엇인가? 그것은 성도를 목양하는
차원을 넘어서 무장시키는 사역이다. 평신도를 무장시키는 방법은 바로 제자
훈련을 통해서만 가능하다는 것을 깨닫게 한다. 이것이 제자훈련의 필요성이
며 당위성이다. 평신도를 방치하는 것은 직무유기이다. 왕 같은 제사장으로
그의 기이한 빛에 들어가게 하신 자의 아름다운 덕을 선전하는 위대한 사역의
주역으로 세워야 할 것이다.
필자는 제자훈련이야 말로 예수님이 우리에게 가르쳐 주신 목회의 최고 방
법이라고 확신한다. 또한 제자훈련은 교회성장의 첩경이 될 것이다. 그러므로
평신도를 깨우고 온전케 하여 목회의 동역자로 세우는 일을 게을리 해서는 안
될 것이다. 􀀀
문제는 목회자가 먼저 충성된 제자가 되고 제자를 삼아야 한다는 사실이
다. 그리고 제자는 훈련으로 되어지는 것이지 태어나는 것이 결코 아니다. 교
육과 수료로 마쳐지는 과정이수를 지양하고 지속적인 훈련을 제대로 한다면
그리스도의 지상명령은 성취될 것을 믿는다. 􀀀
그러므로 바라기는 한국의 모든 교회들이 이 사실을 깨닫고 주님의 명령에
순종하여 한 사람 한 사람에게 집중해서 제자훈련을 계속하노라면 하나님의
나라는 확장되리라 확신한다.

영어 초록

The discipleship training has considerable influence to wake
Korean church upon. It may be a blessing that church has accepted
the bible study and following up system which has trained at only
missionaries, trained and awoke the layman who is sleeping giant
to participate in the mission.
Churches that had accepted discipleship training program as the
ministry philosophy and had grown, has begun to appear. It is
required correct the conception and theological understanding to
apply discipleship training program. So this study will observe the
importance of discipleship training program to awake sleeping
layman.
Why is discipleship training necessary?
It is the reason that Jesus has showed the example by making
disciples and training them. Fur thermore He commanded
categorical imperative as his last words when he is resurrected and
ascended to heaven. “Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the
very end of the age.(Matthew 28:19~20)”
We don't have the right to obey or not, whoever believe in Jesus
and follow him must obey this imperative. And Lord teaches the
best way of ministry to the pastors. That is to be a disciple and to
make a disciple.
Although his disciples ware immature, Jesus dispatched his
disciples before his ascension to heaven, declaring “As the Father
has sent me, I am sending you.( John 20:21)” After the Pentecost,
Apostles did their task of discipleship training by devoting their all
life according to Jesus's training example. Peter did his mission.
Paul told Timothy “And the things you have heard me say in the
presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also
be qualified to teach others.”
Paul mentioned essential matter which is concerned with the
reason why pastors is called by Lord. The reason is the mission to
equip of the believers. In this verse, the word of equip means to
militarize soldiers by equipping them all the equipments and
training them necessary all skills.
What is the priority mission of church and pastor? It is not only
pastoral duty but also equipping ministry of them. The method to
equip layman is possible through only discipleship training. It is
the necessity and justifiability of discipleship training. To leave
layman is dereliction of duty. We should stand layman up as the
hero of the great mission that can declare the praises of him who
called you out of darkness into his wonderful light as a royal
presthood.
The present writer firmly believes that discipleship training is
the best way of ministry that Jesus taught us. And discipleship
training is the shortcut of the church growth. So we should not be
lazy to awake layman, to equip them and stand them as partners
of mission.
The matter is the fact that pastor must be a faithful disciple and
make a disciple first of all. And disciple is never born, disciple is
made from training. If we sublate the course work that is consisted
with education and completion, and carry out continuous training,
we firmly believe that the categorical imperative will be achieved.
So, I convict that the kingdom of God will be expanded if all
the churches of Korea realize this fact, obey the Lord's command,
and continue to do discipleship training concentrating each
person.
